“Slow Brewed”

These started on my kitchen table, no grand plan just a process I wanted to explore, and a deliberate decision to slow down.

There’s something about brewing, coffee, tea, anything worth waiting for that can’t be rushed. You set it going and you leave it alone, the walnut crystals need time to dissolve & bleed, tea papers need to time to dry & settle. The crushed marble sits heavy and pale against the raw canvas until the ink finds its way around it, push it and you lose it. So I learned to wait, to watch, and to let the materials do what they wanted to do.

What I didn’t expect was how much presence each one would hold on its own. Something about the scale, the patience required, the way each layer only reveals itself once it’s ready, they ended up feeling complete in a way I hadn’t anticipated.

Nine paintings, each one entirely its own thing.

Brewed is the first collection I’ve released this way. Made small, made slowly, made from things that already carry a kind of history before I even pick them up.
