Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli
34.5 x 34.5cm clay sculpture framed in ultramarine wood tray frame, (approx 3kg in weight)
A quiet homage to history, craft, and the timeless depth of ultramarine, ‘Lapis Lazuli’ takes form as a smooth, undulating clay sculpture—woven like the folds of a well-worn quilt. Its surface flows in soft, organic waves, a meditation on comfort, continuity, and the passage of time.
Inspired by the ancient lapis lazuli that birthed ultramarine, the sculpture carries subtle veins of deep blue, revealing themselves like whispers beneath layers of clay. It embodies the wabi-sabi philosophy—not in decay, but in the gentle weight of lived-in beauty, where the handmade meets the eternal.
Minimal yet deeply textured, ‘Lapis Lazuli’ is an invitation to slow down, to trace the quiet stories held within its form.
For collectors who seek art that resonates beyond the visual, it offers a moment of bold stillness, like morning light on folded fabric, like a memory pressed into clay.

Let customers speak for us
from 0 reviewsI’ve followed Stephanie’s art for a while and had one piece of her art in my house already. I knew when I was getting married that a commission would be the perfect wedding gift for me and my husband. I contacted Stephanie and told her our ideas and she produced a the most wonderful piece which is better than I had imagined. It takes pride of place in our living room and is often the focus of discussion as people see different things in it. Me and my husband see ourselves and our love being for infinity ❤️ We truly love it!
I have bought 2 beautiful pieces from Stephanie for my mum in the UK and I am lucky enough to have 3 for myself here in Sydney. It goes without saying that her art is stunning, I love her ever evolving style that is still her own. In addition Stephanie is so easy to communicate with and provides a level of service that makes you feel so confident whenever you are working with her, this matters especially when so far away. Not to mention the art is always packed perfectly and always arrives perfectly. Love love love her.
I have been a fan of Steph’s work since her early days. In fact we have two pieces hanging in our home from then. Over the years she has broadened what she offers and recently I attended one of Steph’s alcohol ink workshops. Well what a wonderful experience it was. Steph provided all the materials and the group found themselves lost in their creativity. The beauty of the workshop was that whilst Steph was there to guide you, she just let you play with the inks and get a feel for your own work. It’s really quite therapeutic and you find you’re not focused on anything else in that moment. The setting for the workshop was lovely along the canal with tea, coffee and biscuits provided along with a nice soundtrack. Steph is now also creating 3D art with clay which is just as beautiful as her other pieces. Whether you buy her art or attend her workshop you will not be disappointed!
Steph is not only an incredibly talented artist but also a lovely, genuine person who wants to share her passion for art as therapy. I have attended a number of Steph’s workshops and these have led to me reigniting my own love for creating! During the workshops, Steph gives everyone plenty of time to play and explore whilst also giving more personalised guidance if/when required. I have always found that Steph wants her students to enjoy creating and is always happy to help, recommend materials and offer guidance. Despite now having my own alcohol inks I will happily attend future workshops as there is always more to learn from Steph!
Absolutely loved Stephanie’s alcohol ink workshop, I was so fully immersed in this technique & not only left the class relaxed but also eager to do this again at home. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your gift & the continual support afterwards.
